- The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has vowed to sue the Northern Governors’ Forum as well as the National Assembly if the infamous social media bill is passed and assented by President Muhammadu Buhari
- SERAP made this known on Tuesday, November 3 via its Twitter handle, which has got the support a good number of Nigerians as well
According to SERAP, it is the fundamental rights of Nigerians to express themselves freely on different social media platforms.
“We’ll sue the Northern Governors’ Forum and National Assembly if any Social Media bill is passed and signed by President Buhari.

“Nigerians have a right to freedom of expression online.
“We won’t accept any illegal attempts to interfere with that right.” SERAP posited.
A good number of Nigerians have also lend their voices at standing against the social media bill so that it will not see the light of the day.
