One Death Too Many: Nigerians React To Murder Of 20-Year-Old Journalist, Onifade Pelumi Allegedly By Police Officers

  • Nigerians have continued to react and comment on the murder of a 20-year-old journalist, Onifade Pelumi in Lagos state allegedly by security operatives while he was covering reported shooting at protesters by a Lagos politician
  • Security agents were alleged to have whisked Onifade Pelumi away while he was doing his reportage

Information later had it that the dead body of Onifade Pelumi was deposited at the Ikorodu Mortuary a few days after he was taken away reportedly by Lagos State Task Force Officers.

Other report added that the security operatives (security agents) who whisked Onifade Pelumi away were police officers working for the Lagos State Task Force.

Following the death of the 20-year-old journalist, Nigerians have continued to react angrily and called for a full investigation and prosecution of the officers involved.

It was just a few weeks ago that Nigerians mainly youths took to the streets to protest against police brutality and an end to SARS unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
