Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Reported As Bill Gates Is Berated Over Comments On Africa’s Coronavirus Figures

  • A total of 829 new cases of coronavirus disease were reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for Saturday, December 26
  • Lagos accounted for 296 new cases, while FCT had 291 new cases, with the lowest new cases of two reported from Ogun

NCDC has continued to urge Nigerians to follow all COVID-19 protocols in order to stem the surge of the second wave of the viral infection.

In a related development, American businessman, Bill Gates has spoken about coronavirus disease in Africa.

Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and one of the top three richest men in the world has been lampooned for his comments on Africa’s COVID-19 figures, where he said that “I don’t know why Covid-19 cases still low in Africa.”
