- The death of a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar, whose stage name was ‘Luke Harper’ has been announced
- Luke Harper whose real name is ‘Jon Huber’ was released by WWE in December 2019 after which he joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and used the stage name ‘Brodie Lee’
Jon Huber’s wife by the name ‘Amanda Huber’ was the first person to make his husband’s death known to the public through an Instagram post.
According to the post, the wrestler, Luke Harper and Brodie Lee died on Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26.
The late wrestler’s wife revealed that Jon Huber’s death was as a result of “a non-Covid related lung issue.”
Amanda Huber added that “the world saw him as the amazing [Brodie Lee] but he was my best friend, my husband, and the greatest father you would ever meet. No words can express the love I feel or how broken I am right now.”
The deceased was part of the famous WWE Wyatt brothers which also had Bray Wyatt and Eric Rowan.
On the part of the president of AEW, Tony Khan, he tweeted as follows:
“I’m devastated by the loss of Jon Huber, known to fans as Mr. Brodie Lee, formerly Luke Harper. Jon was a great man. His family came first, his loving wife Amanda & their sons Brodie + Nolan. He loved wrestling & was great at it, he loved you fans. Please keep him in your hearts.”
Both retired and active WWE and AEW wrestlers have continued to send their condolences over the death of Jon Huber.
WWE’s Luke Harper and AEW’s Brodie Lee died at the age of 41, and was survived by a wife and two sons, Brodie and Nolan.
