Concerns As Over 1,300 New Cases Of COVID-19 Reported In Nigeria

  • There are growing concerns among some Nigerians following the numbers rolled out by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on new cases of coronavirus disease for Tuesday, January 5
  • No fewer than 1,354 persons were reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, as reports confirmed

The over 1,300 new daily cases are the highest this week and a record high since NCDC began its daily COVID-19 Nigeria update.

Lagos, the epicentre of coronavirus disease in the country accounted for over 51% of new cases.

In Nigeria so far, 92,705 confirmed cases in toal; 76,396 persons discharged and 1,319 deaths recorded.
