Again, Nigeria’s New COVID-19 Cases More Than 1,000

  • Over 1,000 new cases of coronavirus disease were again reported in Nigeria for more than two consecutive days
  • The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) informed that no fewer than 1,565 persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, January 7

Following the addition of the new cases, over 95,000 total confirmed cases of coronavirus disease have been reported so far since the global pandemic came into Nigeria.

Lagos state, the epicentre of coronavirus disease in the country accounted for over 50% of the new cases.
