Akungba Accident Claims Over 27 Lives, Nigerians React

  • Saturday, January 23 was a sad one in the history of Akungba Town of Ondo state, Southwest Nigeria
  • A fatal accident claimed several lives including those of students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA)

Information obtained has it that one of the major cause of frequent accidents was as a result of the federal road which is adjacent to the main gate of AAUA.

On Saturday, January 23, a trailer reportedly rammed into some people, majorly students of AAUA, leading to loss of several lives.

Nigerians have taken to different social media platforms to express their condolences as well as calling on Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state to help solve the incessant accident that happens at the University main gate due to the narrowness of the federal road.

Some Nigerians on Twitter, while condoling and lamenting the terrible incident, urged the government to do the needful in order to avoid future accident.
