The latest finding was for year 2020, which shows that the three least corrupt countries in world were Denmark, New Zealand and Finland.
On the other hand, the three most corrupt countries in the world based on their Corruption Perception Index (CPI) were South Sudan, Somalia and Syria.
From the Corruption Perception Index for different countries, there is a strong relationship between economic prosperity and rate of corruption. This means that countries with miserable economy and low living standards are the most corrupt.
