Yesterday, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo was in Oyo state on a solidarity visit with his Oyo state counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde and to inspect the current status of Shasha market.
A good number of Nigerians have advised the citizens not to allow the security issue at Shasha to spill into ethnic clash.
The Ondo state governor informed as follows of his visit to Shasha on Sunday, February 14:
“Today (February 14) I joined my brother @seyiamakinde on behalf of the southwest governors forum to visit the troubled communities in Ojoo, Shasha area of Ibadan, Oyo State where we appealed for calm and implored the communities to let the appropriate authorities handle the situation.”
