- Kylian Mbappe was on fire tonight for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) against Barcelona in one of the UEFA Champions League knockout stage games
- The PSG forward scored a hat trick as he helped the French Ligue One side sit comfortably to qualify for the next phase of the Champions League
Lionel Messi scored the only goal for Barcelona from the penalty spot in the first half before Mbappe equalised and made it 1-1 going into the second half.
Mbappe added two more goals for PSG in the second half to make it three goals for himself as his teammate, Moise Kean scored one of PSG’s four goals.
Tonight’s game played in Spain was the first leg of the Round of 16 between Barcelona and PSG as the second leg would be played in France in a few weeks time.
Only a miracle will make Barcelona qualify after the second leg as qualification for the Spanish side is like the analogy of a camel passing through the eye of a needle.
Barcelona will need to beat PSG by a difference of four goals in the second leg in Paris in order to qualify for the quarter finals.
