- The immediate past governor of Imo state, Southeast Nigeria, Senator Rochas Okorocha was arrested by the police on Sunday, February 21 over charges of breaking into sealed government buildings
- Information obtained has it that the buildings were said to belong to the former Imo state governor’s wife, but were confiscated by the current Imo state government
The buildings were the Royal Spring Palms Estate belonging to Okorocha’s wife but had been seized by the Imo state government.

As of today, Monday, February 22, reports have it that Senator Rochas Okorocha has been released by the police.
Incumbent Imo state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma and Senator Okorocha do not see eye to eye as both men are sworn political foes.
Sources have it that the current travails of Okorocha could be traced to the doorstep of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
