Unknown Gunmen Strike In Rivers, Abduct Traditional Ruler, University Lecturer

  • The high rate of abduction and kidnapping calls for great concerns in Nigeria
  • A few days ago, students and some staff of Government Science College, Kagara in Niger state were kidnapped and are yet to regain freedom

In the same Niger state, North Central, some travellers who were abducted some days back were released on Sunday, February 21. On the same Sunday, unknown gunmen abducted a university lecturer and a traditional ruler in Rivers state, South-South Nigeria.

Report has it that the unknown gunmen attacked the palace of King Aaron Ikuru of Ikuru Town in Andoni local government area of Rivers state. More so, Dr Jones Ayuwo of the University of Port Harcourt was abducted in a separate kidnapping incident.

Eons Intelligence gave the details of the kidnapping as follows:

Gunmen invaded the palace of King Aaron Ikuru of Ikuru Town in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State and abducted the monarch. 

Eons Intelligence gathered that the criminals struck at night and whisked the first-class ruler away.

Also on Sunday night, Dr Jones Ayuwo, a lecturer with the Department of Linguistics and Communication Studies in the University of Port Harcourt was abducted along the Andoni- Ogoni road. 

Eons Intelligence gathered that Dr Ayuwo was returning from an event organised by his local language Bible Translation Committee.
