- UEFA Champions League (UCL) football action returns tonight of Tuesday, February 23
- 2012 UCL champions and English Premier League side, Chelsea will slug it out with 2014, 2016 finalists and Spanish La Liga club, Atletico Madrid
A lot of fireworks are expected in the match as Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel will be looking to avoid defeat against a crafty Atletico Madrid side managed by Diego Simeone.
Both Atletico Madrid and Chelsea will play the first leg of the Round of 16 of their Champions League clash tonight.
Thomas Tuchel is yet to lose a match since he took over as Chelsea’s boss and tonight’s game against Diego Simeone’s is his real and first acid test.
It will not be a stroll in the pan for Tuchel as the former Borussia Dortmund and PSG manager needs to be highly tactical in his approach if he wants to get a favourable result against a dangerous Atletico Madrid side.
Getting a win or at worst a draw for Chelsea will be all that Tuchel will be aiming for and possibly go on to take The Blues into the UCL finals just like he guided PSG into last season’s Champions League final, where PSG lost to a Bayern Munich side.
Two Champions League games will be played tonight. One is Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea, while the other will see Lazio host defending champions of UCL, Bayern Munich.
