#BENNGA #AFCON2021: Paul Onuachu’s Late Header Helps Nigeria Beat Benin 1-0

  • Nigeria and Benin Republic battled each other yesterday in an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 qualifier
  • The Super Eagles of Nigeria were the visiting team and needed an outright win to cement qualifications for AFCON

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr was tactical in his decision as he threw in Paul Onuachu, who gave Nigeria the victory.

The tall striker headed home late in the 93rd minute to break the hearts of Benin Republic as Nigeria won 1-0.

Following the victory, the Super Eagles have broken an eight year jinx of not beating the national football team of Benin Republic.

It should be noted that goalscorer, Paul Onuachu is having one of his best football record as he has netted over 25 goals this season.
