- The holy month of Ramadan is when the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an is done mostly by Muslims all over the world
- By sunset of today, Monday, April 19, Ramadan will be seven for the Islamic year, 1442AH
A pertinent question to ask every fasting Muslim is, how far have you gone with the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an?
The Glorious Qur’an has 114 chapters, which are divided into 30 Juz’u (plural called Ajzaah) and further subdivided into 60 Hizb.
Based on the numbers of days Muslims fast in Ramadan, which are either 29 or 30, a fasting Muslim should try as much as possible to complete at least one Juz’u of the Glorious Qur’an in a day. This means a total of 29 to 30 Ajzaah will be completed in the whole month of Ramadan.
Every Muslim is expected to gear up his or her recitation of the Glorious Qur’an and ensure a whole Qur’an is completed from Suuratul Faatiha to Suuratul Nnaas.
In conclusion, if you have not started reciting the Glorious Qur’an in Arabic language or any other language you understand, start today so that you will be able to get all the bountiful rewards that come with the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an.
