A lot of questions are begging for answers on the ongoing Boko Haram counterinsurgency, which Nigerians are not happy about its results.
In an exclusive report by Sahara Reporters yesterday, it revealed that “30 Nigerian Soldiers Killed As Boko Haram Sacks Military Base In Borno. Sahara Reporters added that “the insurgents also set ablaze a Nigerian army tanker and some buildings in the military base.”
According to a similar account of the incident, the Boko Haram insurgents overran the Nigerian Army Battalion Headquarters in Borno state, Northeast Nigeria and killed no fewer than 30 soldiers. In addition, MRAPs and gun trucks were used by Boko Haram in the invasion, whereby the terrorists also burnt vehicles belonging to the Nigerian Army.
On the attack on Geidam, Yobe state by Boko Haram insurgents, a Twitter user, @Bahaushee reported that “Yobe state governor (Mai Mala Buni), who is also the acting chairman of APC told BBC Hausa that they are in deep trouble after Boko Haram attacked Geidam saying “he’s meeting with service chiefs in Abuja to find a solution.”
Residents in Geidam have fled their homes as a result of the deadly onslaught by the Boko Haram fighters.
