- The federal government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Interior has declared Wednesday, May 12 and Thursday May 13 as Public Holidays to celebrate the Eid Fitr festival
- Muslims will be ending the 29 days fasting of the holy month of Ramadan for this year on Tuesday, May 11.
In a Statement signed by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr Shuaib Belgore, it stated that Wednesday and Thursday will be Public Holidays.
On the other hand, many Nigerians have taken to social media, telling the federal government to make the Eid Fitr holiday, Thursday and Friday.
