#ChampionsLeague: Porto Humble Juventus 2-1 As Ronaldo Fires Blank

  • Two matches were played Wednesday night in this season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) which were the first leg of the UCL Round of 16
  • In one of the matches FC Porto stopped a Juventus side which has Cristiano Ronaldo by winning 2-1 in Portugal going into the second leg in a few weeks time in Italy

Mehdi Taremi and Moussa Marega scored for Porto, while Federico Chiesa netted for Juve as the game ended 2-1, with Ronaldo not finding his name in the scorers’ sheet.

Juventus only need to win Porto by at least 1-0 or get any victory with a two goal difference like 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 and so on.

In the other Champions League match played in Spain between Sevilla, the host team and Borussia Dortmund, the away side, the German Bundesliga side won 3-2 with Norwegian Erling Braut Haaland netting twice. Mahmoud Dahoud scored one goal for Dortmund out of the three goals

Jesús Joaquín Fernández Sáenz de la Torre, known as Suso netted the first goal for Sevilla, while Luuk de Jong scored the second goal.

Dortmund are almost sure of qualifying for the quarter finals of the UCL when they host Sevilla in a few weeks time in Germany. They only need any kind of draw, be it 0-0, 1-1 to qualify.
