What Minister Festus Keyamo Said After Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade Decamped From PDP To APC

Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Labour has spoken about the defection of the Professor turned Politician from PDP to APC

In his words, Minister Festus Keyamo stated on his Twitter handle that “I welcome one of the most cerebral, the most progressive, the most enlightened and the most accomplished Govs, Prof. Ben Ayade to the fold of the progressives. As my elder brother & friend from the S/South Region, this is the day we have been waiting for.”

The APC family has welcomed the coming of the Cross River state governor into their fold.

Nigerians are expecting the major opposition party, the PDP to make major Statements as there are fears more bigwigs will defect to APC.

Recall some months back that Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state left the PDP for APC, citing injustice.

“PDP manipulated Social media with all sorts of lies and falsehood. It is too unpatriotic. I have no other nation apart from Nigeria….” Ben Ayade reportedly gave some of the reasons he had to leave the PDP.

Has Governor Ayade made the best decision of his political career or will he regret dumping the party that brought him into power in Cross River state? Time will surely tell.
